Meal Purchase Letter 2023-2024
**2023-24 Lunch Application – Important Update! **
For the 2023-24 school year free lunches will continue to be provided to free and reduce status students. Through the New Jersey Expanded income guideline (EIG) some families can also qualify for meals at no charge.
A new application must be submitted every year. Please complete a lunch application to ensure your child/ren eligibility for the program.
Free & Reduced Price Meal Program Application
ALL NEW STUDENTS TO ESSEX COUNTY SCHOOLS OF TECHNOLOGY
Upon receipt of your child’s 2023-2024 lunch application your child’s eligibility will be determined for free or reduced lunch. Until your child’s eligibility is determined, it is your responsibility to pay for your child’s lunch beginning on September 6, 2023 until you have been notified by the district of your eligibility.
RETURNING STUDENTS TO ESSEX COUNTY SCHOOLS OF TECHNOLOGY
Your child’s status from last year will remain the same until October 15, 2023. If a 2023-2024 lunch application is not submitted prior to October 15, 2023, your child’s status will change to full pay status requiring payment for lunch until receipt of application.
If an application is not completed by October 15, the parent/guardian will be responsible for payment of the student’s meal. If you receive a Direct Certification letter, DO NOT fill out an application. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s school directly or send an email.
