Meal Purchase Letter 2024-2025
**2024-2025 Lunch Application – Important Update! **
All students will receive free breakfast for the 2024-25 school year. Free lunches will continue to be provided to reduced-status students. Some families can qualify for free meals through the New Jersey Expanded Income Guideline (NJEIE). Starting this school year, families that receive Medicaid insurance will also be eligible for free and reduced meals.
A new application must be submitted every year. Please complete a lunch application to ensure your child/ren’s eligibility for the lunch program.
Free & Reduced-Price Meal Program Application
ALL NEW STUDENTS TO ESSEX COUNTY SCHOOLS OF TECHNOLOGY
Upon receipt of your child’s 2024-2025 lunch application, your child’s eligibility will be determined for free or reduced lunch. Until your child’s eligibility is determined, it is your responsibility to pay for your child’s lunch beginning on September 4, 2024, until the district has notified you of your eligibility.
RETURNING STUDENTS TO ESSEX COUNTY SCHOOLS OF TECHNOLOGY
Your child’s status will remain the same until October 16, 2024. If a 2024-2025 lunch application is not submitted before October 16, 2024, your child’s status will change to full pay status requiring payment for lunch until receipt of application.
If an application is not completed by October 16, 2024, the Parent/guardian will be responsible for the student’s meal payment. If you receive a Direct Certification letter, DO NOT fill out an application because your child/ren is automatically free. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s school directly or email the contact person listed below for your child’s school.
