She earned her Supervisor’s Certification, Master of Arts in Special Education and her Professional Diploma in School Psychology from New Jersey City University. Mrs. Rivera is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Prior to her role as school psychologist at West Caldwell Tech, Mrs. Rivera served as a dually certified general and special education teacher for thirteen years in the Jersey City Public Schools.

She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), School Social Worker, and previously served the Essex County Schools of Technology as a Student Support Specialist; chairing multidisciplinary Intervention and Referral Services (I&RS) meetings, conducting individual & group mediation counseling, staff presentations, and managing crisis– earning the Shining Star Award in this position. Currently, she provides service for the district as a Child Study Team Case Manager in the Special Services/Education Department at West Caldwell Tech.
