NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

The National Honor Society (NHS) is a prestigious organization dedicated to academic excellence and meaningful service to both our school and local community.
Students who maintain a weighted GPA of 3.8 or higher are invited to apply for membership and are selected based on their demonstration of leadership, character, and service.

Membership in NHS reflects a commitment not only to scholarship but also to positively impacting others. NHS members take pride in promoting school spirit and engaging in service throughout the Newark community. In recent years, members have volunteered at soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and youth group homes. Within our school, they have organized events such as the annual Candy Gram Sale, Autism Awareness Wall, Movie Nights, Spring Raffle, and Fall/Winter Clothing Drive—initiatives that reflect both leadership and compassion.

NHS also offers peer tutoring to support students who may be struggling academically. The goal of this program is to enhance student success through individualized academic support and mentorship. Tutoring form linked below.
