Parent Teacher Association:
Meeting once every month, the Bloomfield Tech PTA is an important partner in the education of our students. They help develop, implement, and monitor new and exiting educational programs, and their various fundraising activities make possible a number of money awards to outstanding seniors at graduation, which help defray their college costs.

Open House for Parents:
Every year at the end of the first marking period, Students’ report cards are distributed to their parents at Open House. Our Open House program is designed to have parents meet teachers and administrators and visit classrooms in order to have first-hand, in-person exposure to the educational environment, the professionals responsible for it, and the nature and quality of instruction. In addition to their Open House visit, parents are free to visit the school any time they feel a need to do so.

Project Pride:
Along with all schools in Essex County, Bloomfield Tech participates in Project Pride, which is a vast exhibition of students’ work and achievements. Project Pride is held annually for seven consecutive days in March at the Livingston Mall, Livingston, NJ. The Bloomfield Tech Business Department was a major contributor in 2000, displaying “Job Search 2000,” work portfolios, business cards, and brochures describing the Bloomfield Tech Business program.

The North Jersey Student Craftsman’s Fair:
Bloomfield Tech is quite proud of its long-standing and successful Craftsman’s Fair participation. For more than 25 years, The Fair has brought together the work of fifteen hundred to seventeen hundred students from all over North New Jersey and beyond in order to have their displayed in a competitive exhibition lasting five days in May. Over the years, the panels of industry judges and former master vocational teachers have awarded Bloomfield Tech entries numerous first, second, and third place ribbons, an more than a dozen “Best in Show” prizes in the Vocational Education category consisting of over 500 entries.
