The mission of the Essex County Vocational Technical High School’ Visual and Performing arts program is to provide a high quality education in Visual and Performing Arts, a supportive environment for a diverse student population and a comprehensive curriculum which will engage students to encounter the creative experience through the mediums of visual arts, theater arts, music, and dance. The creative experience is the personal interaction that one has while creating, critically analyzing, and performing art. We prepare students for successful roles in an ever-changing society by challenging them to realize their full potential while recognizing and respecting their different learning styles. We believe that all students can be successful. The primary focus will be to bring the creative experience to all students and the end result that all students bring a :creative spirit” and critical analysis to all of their life challenges.
