Attorney General Anne Milgram & Governor John Corzine honored five North 13th Street Campus students for placing second in the state's writing contest concerning high school drug use. The student's script "Proms and Alcohol Don't Mix" was chosen runner up out of hundreds of scripts submitted in the state's writing contest.

The Visual & Performing Arts Students attended the Governor's mansion in Princeton New Jersey to receive their awards and certificates from Governor Corzine himself. After only one year of being a part of the North 13th Street Curriculum, this is surely an accomplishment everyone can appreciate. The North 13th Street Visual & Performing Arts students honored were Dene Guions, Alex Cortes, Michele Henriqes, Cynthia Moses and Ebony Ross, all of whom were accompanied by their teacher Ms. Brenda Pepper.
