VICE PRINCIPAL'S MESSGE

As the new Vice Principal of Bloomfield Tech High School, I am pleased and honored to become a member of this great school community. Bloomfield Tech enjoys a rich history of academic excellence that is the result of a partnership between the school staff and parents who provide a diversity of experiences for the students. I am truly honored to be here and am looking forward to working with the dedicated staff to provide the best possible educational program for our students.

Before coming to Bloomfield Tech, my administrative career was spent entirely within the Essex County Vocational/Technical School District for the last six (6) years. I held the position as vice principal at Newark Tech for 4 years and North 13th Street for 2 years. My teaching career was spent in Newark and East Orange. I have been in the field of education for 16 years.

I firmly believe that students will rise to whatever level of expectations that are provided, therefore, I strongly support high expectations. It is also my belief that students must be present in school to reach their full potential. In order to achieve success, students must attend classes on a daily basis.

I am committed to providing a healthy and safe environment because no meaningful learning can take place unless students feel safe. Thus, I am dedicated to dealing with issues such as bullying.

Moving forward, as Vice Principal it is an honor to help improve the already dynamic education that Bloomfield Tech has afforded our young people. I have an open door policy and extend myself as a resource to all parents and guardians. Together with our great staff, we will move the students of Bloomfield Tech into this global world with confidence, security and problem solving skills.

I Look Forward To A Prosperous Year!!!

Sincerely,
Kristie M. Howard, Esq.
