CODE OF CONDUCT
Students and parents are asked to recognize that standards are put in place to create a school culture that fosters successful learning and a safe and productive school environment. Each year students apply for limited places within the district's four schools. Admission to the schools is thus a privilege that is offered to those students who are prepared to contribute to this supportive and participative school culture. A commitment to learning along with adhering to the student Code of Conduct and the District Attendance Policy is required in order to successfully complete the four-year program of study.
The Essex County Vocational Technical Schools Code of Conduct is based on five principles for its students. Students must:
- Actively pursue learning.
- Contribute to classroom and school activities.
- Respect themselves.
- Respect others.
- Respect school property and the property of others.
